High Poly Venice Model

I'm not sure but I think that the Terrapin is awaiting the completion of Epic: Dark Currents to make its debut. I've had the privilege of test flying it, though, and can honestly say its a great vessel. It kicks butt in the space lanes, with some nice chin-mounted quad pbcs (its very viscerally satisfying to go in for an attack run with weapons blazing right under your 'chair' rather than way out on some laterally mounted gun pylons). It came in very handy while pod pirating, but it isn't a supremely superior craft...it has realistic limitations when it comes to maneuvering. It was intended as a kind of poor man's close escort vessel, for the economic conditions of the Middle States cluster.

The textures on this thing are gorgeous. You simply have to see the braking thrusters in action to believe them....they're uber cool, and its worth smacking F3 and trying to get a close up look into the bridge...there's more detail than one would think. Overall, its an excellent addition to the ships in the Independence War universe. Nicely designed, consistent with the other vessels in its class, and very well put together by Shane.

Maybe if we ask very nicely, he'll release it early!

Oh, I guess I should have mentioned; yes, that is one gorgeous bad-ass looking ship. Wonderfully designed and beautifully textured. I think it looks like a bird of prey (the animal type, not the ST ship).
