Free Image Converter

I was doing a lot of "googling" when I found this free image converter that can write the IFF / ILBM files. Currently, only the Command BOx Converter for Windows works in 2000/XP, but it does it's job. You may have to use a batch renaming program to rename the .lbm to .iff...

Very cool. It looks worth checking out.

Could someone remind me of the significance of LBM files to EoC. I can't remember and there aren't any in the resources folder. And the EoC Textures document doesn't mention them. I seem to remember something to do with hexing the ship textures, but who knows.

They are not pre-compressed or pre-mipmapped like the ones used in EoC, although it uses them...

Holy crud! What a dunce I was being! I forgot that LBM files are what the model converter puts out. Duh!

Thanks Blaster, it was the "uncompressed" reference that reminded me.
