hello!
I have some questions about energy:
1. Is my ship less fast if I reduce the energy of the drive?
2. does increased shieldenergy reduce the damage of weapons?
thanks

Hi SpaceCowboy - welcome to the board
1. topspeed will be the same, but acceleration will be slower.
2. sure - or what should it be good for?
your shields will last longer and stand stronger against incoming fire
but remember: depending on the quality/upgrades of your shields they will come up between three and about nine of ten shots...
You should read the ingame encyclopedia - good information about ships, weapons, shields...
