dude, does anyone know when that new campaign will be ready? I saw the last post but nothing rescently. Is it done?close???I've beaten I-WAR 2 EOC a lot of times and even put on every mod i can find, even made some. But now I'm bored!! Been their, done that. I'm deffinately ready for something new and challenging!!![}][}][}][}][}][}]

Greetings dude, and welcome to the forum.

So, you're bored with EoC, are you? Beaten the game using the elite mod in just the tug? Blown up every station in every system with antimatter rems from your Warlock in station assault?

I'm glad you love space sims as much as the rest of us. We need more like you. The good news is that YES, Epic: Dogs of War is happening and in development. The Epic team is working furiously under Grandpatrout's merciless whip as we speak:D, to try to meet our release goals. You can download an early code release and help test it if you like. The problem is this: It is an absolutley huge amount of work, being done by a small group of people, for no pay, and will be given to gamers like you for free. The only thing we ask of you in return is a modicum of patience. You'll get it soon enough, and you'll be glad you waited:p.

In the meantime, take a Puffin class tug from the mods section (with or without a turret) and go shoot up a Maas megafreighter convoy with elite mod activated. Hopefully this will give you a bit of a challenge, and keep you from getting too bored while you wait;).

The "elite" mod you talk about sounds interesting. Is this the "dark elite mod" I see in the downloads section? Can you tell me more about it? Thanks,

The elite mod I was referring to is found at the downloads page right here

Both the mod and the elite loader are there on the same page. For more details, contact the creators Indie or Hotfoot, but this mod kicks arse...or rather I should say, it will kick YOUR arse.

I fired it up thinking I was some pretty hot space pilot after playing the game a few times. I flew up to a lightly escorted convoy in my tug, thinking, 'I don't notice any difference in my ship, or its handling'. I decided to jump the convoy and grab me some loot. As soon as I got close enough and fired a shot, they jumped me. I was dead before I knew what had hit me. It didn't take me long playing with this mod to realize that the old tactics didn't really work well anymore, and you really do have to be elite, and have a whole pile of tricks up the old sleeve to survive against these new pumped up AI ships. It definitely makes the game harder, and pushes your piloting and combat skils to the limit.

Try it. Like I said, with a Puffin, against a Maas megafreighter convoy. Then post any success stories right here. Go on. I dare ya!

(you'll notice that I don't have any success stories to post here either...)[]
