How do you alter ship's cargo slot capacity?

I'm new to the modding scene and I am wondering how I would go about changing the cargo slot capacity on the heavy corvette.
Any ideas or input will be appreciated.

In the heavy_corvette.ini file, change this number. It's all the way at the bottom.

I tried this, but I got a message saying that I can not save the file. Do I have to use a hex editor or modding tool?

probably can't save it because you are in the resource zip.

copy the ini out of the resource.zip and paste it in (the unzipped) resource/sims/ships/player folder. Change the read only attribute so you can modify it. then change the cargo_space and just leave it in the folder where you put it.

Yes, you can do it to any ship. Exactly the same way described above, but using the ship of your choice. [}]
