Server Online
After closing the internetconnection three servers were available via LAN - I could join and transport some pods back to my base:).
I changed the ship, took the Verona to collect the pods and left the game through the jump accelerator.
Flux.log tells me the same as before, no DirectPlayDX8 is created.
DX9b installation is ok, no problems with any test.
I haven't checked the log after hosting the regular MP server([])
This "calling home" feature is cancelled with XPAntiSpy - no connections to Mama.

You have to re-boot your PC to get rid of the multiple games. Otherwise they run in the background and slow down your system because you have multiple instances of the game running.
Once you've disconnected from the internet they are no longer accessable from there (if you really are disconnected). But, if you don't re-boot you can access them as LAN games. Also, if you re-connect to the internet without re-booting they will again become accessable.

no Directplay line: because you're not connected I guess.
The direct play port is 2313 so that has to be open too on your firewall.
(you did patch the game to F14.6 and haven't changed any of the DX8 references in flux.ini?)
Just re-boot and start a new game. If it crashes we have the real problem to deal with. The crashes are whats causing the multiple server problem and we have to deal with the reason for the crashes not the symptoms
( Note: WRMOD is just some debug stuff I forgot to comment out of the script. It's ok, just ignore it.)

Not detected by firewall but necessary to play online.
Flux line concerning MS directplay8 still missing, but I think I know how to host a game now.
I'll make an offer to "They_hunger" - maybe he's online:)

At time of post (5.35 PM) I saw your game pop up in Gamespy (ping 120.) Sorry I have to go out now, and can't stay online.
If you still have probs we can perhaps meet in Gamespy chat later (after midnight local) or sometimes tomorrow.
Try to set up a dedicated server. the Instructions for setting it up are in EpicOnl/readme/general.doc
