Joystick not working

Hey, I'm running windows 2k with the latest updates, and I've got a saitek cyborg 3d gold usb, and the latest drivers, and the latest i-war2 eoc patch. The joystick's not working. I also assigned it to the number 1 slot in the game controllers section of the control panel.

I don't have access to the instruction manual anymore, as it is probably packed away in a box somewhere.

How can I get my joystick to work? I played this game a long time ago, and wanted to start up again.

Anybody with any ideas?

Strange. Do you have any other controllers connected?

WOW! I have almost the exact same setup!

The wheel is the culprit. As long as it's plugged in, EoC will try to use it. Unplug your wheel before you play and I guarantee you'll have no problems.

For some reason, the manipulation of game controllers in Win2K is a little wonky. This won't be the only game you'll have trouble with. Sometimes it'll be the stick, sometimes the wheel. I've plugged mine into an easily reachable powered hub on my desk.

Cyborg gold USB here too - 2nd best stick I know ;)

Sometimes USB causes trouble. Check your device manager and deactivate the malfunctional USB - then reactivate it again. Allways works for me. Saitek was not able to solve the problem.

Well thanks everybody. I disabled the wheel in the device manager, and now the stick works.

Thanks for the help. Time to play!
