Hi All,
I have just installed I War 2 and I am finding the gameplay jerky.
Computer:
Athlon 64 x2 4800
7800gt
2gb ram
Raid 0 Raptor hard drives.
That should run the game at full settings but the game slows down every couple of seconds and then speeds up again. Doesn't matter what resolution I am playing at there is a constant slow down and surge on a constant frequency. This happens at bases and the menu screen as well. Makes it impossible to play as I constantly over correct when flying.
I have the 14.6 patch installed.
Has anyone seen this before?

OK I figured this out.
If you have a dual core CPU you need to set the affinity for I-War 2 so that it runs on only one processor.
After starting the game ALT+TAB out and bring up the task manager. Right click on the Loader.exe process and set affinity for the process by unchecking one of the CPUs.
This fixed the game and it runs at a very smooth 190 fps at full settings
