I want to change these but do I give them lower numbers for less damage and higher for docking or......................................? And what about The type of cargo ship for Jafs. I want something like one of those Mega freighters. DO I need to know the name of the ship or just the type?

Okay to give Jafs a new ship you need the "Custom Jafs" mod which you can download from this site, that will give you the information you need to change his ship.
2. by lowering the hit point's will mean your ship wil not last as long in battle.
I would give you the answer on the Dock priority now but it's late I'm tired and for the life of me I can't remember just at the moment.
p.s most of the modding to files that you will be doing is not in your flux.ini the ones you realy want will be housed in the resource.zip under sims and subsims folder's

Docking priority is a hard one to explain, but I'll give it a shot. This property determines how things work out when two objects dock to each other. When two objects are docked, the only one that can move is the one with the highest docking priority. It can move around dragging the other object, but the one with the lower priority cannot drag the first object. The difference between the two objects' priorities determines how well the one with the higher priority can move. If there's hardly any difference, it will just barely be able to move at all. Did you understand that? If not, I can invent some examples of how it works.

Let's say that a Tug is docked to a Guillotine Destroyer.
The Tug has a rating of....1000, while the Destroyer only has a rating of 100, would that make the Tug capable of moving around with the Destroyer as if it was a cargo pod ?
Did I get that right?
