my little experience with OUTLAW

ok, here I am, with 3 20 containers freighters & around 320000 in bank

I did not upgrade my ship and I thought it was time to search for some

I opted to search for some pirate bases

from within Alcuin, all "tips" to lead me to unknown pirate bases led me to official bases from junkers & some corporation
so I go to Bumpy's star (without cargo)
the pirates at the L-point let me go, I go through some stations & end up with my first outlaw station : a casino

all docking ports used, so I wait
and wait...
and wait.......
and wait.........

no use to wait so I decide to make a little "trip" into LDS to "refresh" the traffic around the station

back to the station, 3 outlaw ships jumps out of LDS all RED !!!
yeah they were ennemies, I began to fight them back (no choice)
every outlaw ship & station turned red
I ended up as space dust ...

is it normal that some outlaw ships attack on sight ?
(remember I have no cargo) (I never fired on any ship ever, even the occasional yellow tug that fires on you & your wingmen)

I am not sure whismerhill. I havent' been attacked thusly myself. However..they are outlaws. Doesn't seem out of character really...

For such an unjustified and unprovoked attack however, I would wage a relentless war against the scum. My advice.


In all seriousness though..the Outlaw faction may actually attack like that. Some of the original games faction behaviour carries over into Torn Stars. If such behaviour was exhibited then, it would also be exhibited in the Torn Stars game. I think only Grandpatrout could answer for certain though. He is the coding guru.

they are on "dislike"
I retried and nearly died while docking (some fighters decided to shot me while docking procedures began ! )
then I had them in my reputation panel & quickly bought reputation to neutral (and entered station too)

as I don't have any fighting escort I can't afford a war for now, unfortunately
