Hello all. Thought I'd post some screenies of my newest ship. She carries 32 cargo pods (16 each side) in a semi-covered bay. Shown fully loaded.

This was no disciplined march; it was a stampede-- without order and without a goal, six million people unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of Civilisation... of the massacre of Mankind."

One main engine, four secondary engines. The secondary engines will feature forward and aft engine flares (when the ship backs up or turns the thrust fires from the front or rear of the secondary engines).

Carries two integral shuttles with dedicated dock points.

Starting the texturing on this one tomorrow while I make a few improvements to the Epic frigate on the side.<font size="1"><font face="Book Antiqua"><font color="black">"Never before in the history of the world had such a mass of human beings moved and suffered together. looks awesome - but very "clean".
maybe she should have universal dockports for containers or fighters?
guess jafs want's to get one...

Cool design, tough "clean" seems to be just the right word - at some points, the shape looks a bit too simple for a ship with such a complex overall structure. Especially the top of the cargo housing and the boxy rear module would look more interesting and less box-like with some additional structures. For example, the rear module could grow thicker towards the cargo housing, or thinner towards the bottom to reflect the shape of the cargo housing. Or it could get a tower of some kind.

thats a great model, the 'simplicity' style fits in nicely i think. It looks like someone said 'hmm, we better stick loads of armour on this thing'. I like how the 4 thrusters point in both directions, an adaptation to improve manuverability, something made nesseary by the shear size of the frieghter
youve done it again shane!. Perhaps the module should be madea a 'little' bit more complex. although i personally like the simplicty of the cargo housing and wouldnt change it, it has a really good 'heavy armour' feel to it.
id thinken up the bit of the cargo housing on the first pic, that thin bit near the engines. it looks out of place. Id personally also make the box the engines are attached to a 'little' bit more complex. or leave it as it is and 'attach' something more complex, like one of those gattling turrets perhaps.
shove a few antenne comming off and following the lines of the ship would also be cool to help take the edge of the boxyness. but! remember, the boxyness imo is part of this ships charm.

I love it. I love the simplicity. It has a very clean, designed look to it. All that surface area leave room for interesting textures, or wacky paint jobs, or corporate logos.
Weapons? Ridiculous. It ain't a supercarrier, it's a cargo ship! If they need protection, they should hire a few escorts, right?!
Keep 'em coming Shane. Well done!
