As far as I remember it's a prototype of the first dutch attempts to reach the moon. (late 19th century)
It was cancelled after they recognized nobody would buy their tulips up there.
Today we know there would have been some problems with it. The propeller is at the wrong side.
Maybe it would have made a nice helicopter?
Consider that successful aerodynamic design. It's still in use.

I think the idea of twisting the ship on its side is a Good one. Make it a little 'unique' in a non-retarded way. However i do insist that it becomes a little less boxy, just a tiny little face at the sharp pointy ends would make the difference. Boxy, sure. Anguler, sure, but not to the point of just looking like you had no skill in modeling.
