About the new dev version dated June 5:
Most important:
DEACTIVATE the mod before you unzip the new version to your StarWarsA1 folder.
This is because the mp_flux.ini was changed, and if you're not deactivated your old one won't be replaced. If you do by accident update thuis deleting the new mp_flux, there is a backup of it in the folder player/mp_configs
<font color="red">Edit: I would even recomend your remove the older version you have and then replace it with the new version. If you choose to do this: deactivate the old mod version and remove it from your directory, then extract the .zip to your EOC directory as StarWarsA1. Why? See below !!</font id="red">
New stuff:
Hud Grid Lines
The primary Breakthrough!!: you will no longer be flying with hud lines that show your inertia effects, but still have full Hud functionality.
CUV bot
if you need repairs summon him with the key "H". After he is docked you'll be repaired and rearmed by (an added) 60 % of your capacity.
You may encounter a slight bug: After he undocks your ship may "jiggle around", if this happens target any object and press the F8 key, then F5. (you won't be reloaded if you are in the "pioneer" ship because it is used as a CUV)
Ion disruptors
The bug that you can get stuck w/o ammo is fixed (I think, but if it isn't, I've got another solution)
B-Wing Bombs
Shanes Bomb works on the Team Assault map, the Cargo Hunt map and the Search and destroy map. You now have to press the key "G" to drop a bomb"
Cockpit switch
This works only on the maps listed above (for the bombs), and only if you have the "pioneer" ship selected. press "M" to select a turret, and then F1 to switch to the turret (and the starfury cockpit) view
New Score Screen
has new graphics as shown in the other thread. The points for bots may not be correct if the bot they shot dies at the same time (before the points are credited) but I'm working on that.
new intro movie
the one in the mod is a place holder as an example.
Ships:
All ships were made significantly slower, and are easier to hit now.
Weapon damage values were reduced and tweaked for better balance.
Note:
The botmatch game and the Trade game are unchanged (doesn't have CUV bot functionality or Shanes Bomb or the turret switch)
<font color="red">Edit: </font id="red">
The new Gui:
We don't have to tell people to be sure they select a ship any longer. i.e the new GUI will select a ship for you if none is selected.
In order to impliment this function it was necessary to change the ini file name of all ships. They are now suffixed with "_swm".
Important for updating:
After you have extracted the new .zip with the mod deactivated.
Run the batch to activate the mod and then run it again immediatly thereafter and select deactivate. It will ask you if it should delete some files. confirm each query with yes. then run it again to activate it.
with further activation and deactivation the query should no longer appear.
If you don't do this the you'll have every ship in the ship selection screen twice.

The new Dev version dated 9 June 2004
Note: You will have to remove the old version first this time and completly replace the mod. That's necessary due to a slight change in the file structure, that we needed to make the batch file fully compatible with Win2k. (and make it more sure fire)
New Maps
The new Team Fortress package has 2 new maps. "Team Fortress 1" has the Star Destroyer mockup. You can try out docking in it's bay. With the SD rotated as it is, you'll have pretty good light and docking should work at least 3 out of 4 times (Docking works better on the IMP side of the map due to the so called "Dork Force".)
"Team Fortress 2" is the same map but a station replaces the DS so you can compare frame rates.
The maps feature a tunnel (not a maze) leading to the enemy base. The tunnel has fog in it, grit your teeth and just keep on going straight it's cool [8D]
Score Screen
To get the new score screen to pop up, it's easiest to use the Team Fortress map 1, a B-Wing and 4 bots without bot replacement:
Sneak away while the bots are shooting each other, use your bombs (key G) to destroy the enemy SD and the enemy base. That will give you 140 points. Then help your bots a bit until you have a total of 150 points. The SD explosion is really MASSIVE [8D]
The score screen will also pop up on the cargo hunt map easily enough too. You just have to destroy the 5 red cargo pods in the big hollow asteroids. (watch out, 2 of the 3 are booby trapped).
There is still a slight anomoly on the scoring totals for bots, I'm working on that.
Weapons and Health after dying:
When you respawn after being shot, you will have the same number of missiles (or Ammo) you had at the time of death.
You will have 50% health (for testing now, later it will be 35%).
(this feature isn't implimented in the Botmatch game yet)
The CUV bot
As well as the player bot, are now fully functional. They load bombers with bombs dynamically, and repair at levels dependent on the number of times a player has docked to a cuv (regardless if it was a bot or player CUV)
To reset your repair level to 100% you need to dock to your base.
To call a cuv bot press "H" (if you are not in a Pioneer ship)
Other New Features
A bug fix: sometimes (very seldom) one of the bots will go haywire, and get too far away. Now it will be silently destroyed and replaced. Please let me know if you still notice a bot out in the "way yonder" or have any problems with the assault script.
(that script is used for the Team Fortress games and the Team Assualt game)
Have fun!

Oops, I forgot to do the change log for the last version on June 20.
Here's the info for that and the current version dated June 24.
Dynamic repair rate
It's dependent on the number of time a ship has docked to a CUV:
1st time 100%
2nd time 75%
3rd time 50%
4th time 25% (and all subsequent docking manouvers
Docking at your base resets the repair level.
Loadout status
Bombers and Cuv pilots can now check the loadout status by pressing the Key "Pageup".
Bombers see the no. of bombs remaining in the bomb bay.
Cuvs see the number of loadouts remaining (supplies remaining) and the no. of Repairkits (those health power ups you can launch)
Score screen
The stats for CUVs and bombers are now shown in a special window.
Stats for base defenses are also shown.
Finaly found the bug causing incorrect score results and fixed it too.
fixed a couple of other little bugs ( a name could be repeated)
Ship balancing
The current issue (24 June) has special low speed (500 m/s) versions of the x-Wing and the Tie Fighter with reduced weapons range. the other ships are unchanged, so watch out in botmatches as you'll get clobbered if you let the bots fly anything but x-Wings or Tie fighters whenever you are in one or the other of those 2 ships.
