In my trade list there are a couple of combat shields I really want.
The MCA are requesting Antimatter items for them, but I cant find any. According to the logistics page at this site Antimatter stuff is transported at Sammarkand and Al Jauf L-points. Now I have blow up so many ships at those L-points I think AI has given up on sending in any more, but still no antimatter.
It seems as hard to find in this game as in reallity. Any tips?

Antimatter will show up eventually, but it is rare throughout Acts I and II. In Act III there will appear a lot more of it, but you might not find that a blessing.

When you shoot at a freighter, and accidentally hit the pod of antimatter it's carrying, you'll know instantly that you've done a bad thing. :D

Tanks for your answer.
The matter solved itself as I was given a heavy crusier when escorting the pilots.
The crusier came with 2 combat shields which I now can use on any ship.

I captured a pod of antimatter from this Indie freighter, I went back to my base and saved, then I loaded the pod onto my tug and dropped it off outside my base. I shot it but nothing happened, no big white explosion just the default pod one. Am I missing something?

Not at all. The infamous antimatter explosion only works when a freighter is carrying the pod, or has just dropped it. Once you've tagged the pod, and it becomes "yours", it won't explode.

Find one on a freighter, target it, and fire at it... you'll see what I mean. :D

Oh right... could this be fixed with a quick change of an .ini file somewhere? I've noticed this problem for any high explosive pods, such as neutron warheads as well.
