Hey, could one of you guys shoot me a copy of that high poly model? I'd like to check it out. Thanks.

Your idea to make a ship modeled after the Andromeda is an awsome idea.
I've been a big fan of the Andromeda series, and I for one would download this mod if it were posted here.

Well, we're all waiting on Shane to finish up fixing the model (hint, hint, just kidding Shane). Then William will set up the INI's and get it out. Patience, grasshopper.[|)]

Thanks for the reminder, Second Chance. I'll see if I can't get it to a state where it's useable and send the rest to you.
You can walk William through the conversion process, right?

I would start with Wings3D and Blender.
Blender is totally free and it's only over 2 MegaBytes of download. Get it at
www.blender3d.org/Download/
There are a ton of useful plugins for it (for example, a planet generator, a walking simulator, a humanoid wizard...). Maybe you can even export to LW format using the import-export suite at
ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... suites.htm .
Blender is a professional tool already used in production environments. Oh, and check out
http://www.tb-software.business.t-onlin ... nload.html
for converters too. I hear that 3Dto3D works...
